Today’s Scripture
“Then Moses said to Korah: “Does it seem insignificant to you that the God of Israel has chosen you from among all Israel to be near him so you can serve in the Tabernacle and stand before the people to minister to them? Korah, he has already given this special ministry to you and your fellow Levites. Are you now demanding the priesthood as well” (Numbers 16:8-10)?

 

 
Many times we covet the role, station or task given by God to another person. We value our own contributions over those of others and think we could do a better job than the person currently in the role. Spurred on by our adversary the devil, in coveting the role of another, we end up despising the role God has given to us. Quite a distraction!

 
God knows what’s best for our lives and has a significant role for each of us to play in his plan.
