Today’s Scripture September 14
“Esther was brought to the king’s harem at the fortress of Susa and placed in Hagai’s care” (Esther 2:8).

 

 
Today we begin three days in the book of Ester… lighter reading than we’ve had for some time, for sure. Esther takes place in a land ruled by the King of Persia, Xerxes, and is a story about God’s deliverance of His people despite the devil’s unrelenting attempts to destroy them. God’s name is not mentioned once in the book, but He can be clearly seen working “behind the scenes.”

 
As you continue to read Ester in the days ahead, look for ways God is working, sovereignly in the lives of His people.
