Sheep Without a Shepherd

Feb 08, 2024 / Bible Study / 0 COMMENTS

Today’s Scripture
“Give them someone to guide and lead them, so they will not be like a sheep without a shepherd” (Numbers 27:17).

Joshua was chosen to follow Moses as the leader of Israel. He had been one of the twelve spies, and the only one other than Caleb who encouraged the people to take the land because God was with them. Moses makes a prophetic statement that the sheep (Israelites) need a shepherd. Joshua was the right choice because of his faith in God and because he had the Holy Spirit in him (Num 27:18).

Jesus is the Good Shepherd who leads His people to safe places. We can trust Him today to lead us where we need to go.
