Today’s Scripture
“A man named Achan had stolen some of these dedicated things, so the Lord was very angry with the Israelites” (Joshua 7:1).

 

 
Achan probably thought when he took some of the loot that it would not affect anyone or even be missed. Yet, his sin caused something bad to happen to the entire community – they lost the battle!

 
Many times we experience spiritual victories; however, yesterday’s victory does not automatically guarantee today will not bring defeat. We must constantly – day after day – rely on God for strength.
