Today’s Scripture
“The Lord has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them; we are only accountable to the things He has revealed to us” (Deut 29:29).

 

 
Moses is about to die and God has revealed to him that the people will get into trouble and be exiled from the land.

 
What do you suppose it felt like on Moses’ deathbed to know that his life’s work in leading the people would result in their being disobedient and failing to be able to stay in the land? Throughout the life of Moses the people complained to him, complained about him and even rebelled against him. Yet, he faithfully shepherded them in the wilderness for 40 years.

 
Like Moses, can we be faithful to God throughout our lifetime even if we don’t see how God is using us for good? Trust God that He will use your efforts for good because nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless (I Co 15:58).
