The prophet Ezekiel was called at age thirty (the age to become a priest) to become a watchman for Israel. Responsible to alert the people to danger, he was told to speak God’s Word regardless of the way in which the people responded.
Meanwhile, back home in Jerusalem, Jeremiah was having a heyday with the false prophets who were leading the people astray. Are we careful in our own culture to stay clear of contemporary false prophets and are we attuned to God’s Word to be able to recognize a message contrary to His?
