Today’s Scripture
“I will keep hoping on you for your help; I will praise you more and more” (Psalm 72:24).
Psalm 71 has some wonderful Scripture verses you can easily put to memory! Do you need help from God, then how about verse 12? If you’re doubting God will answer, try verse 14. My favorite is verse 15, where the Psalmist encourages us to speak boldly for Christ “even though we’re not good with words.” I take that one to heart!
No matter what your age, stage, or occupation, you can memorize Scripture, planting it firmly in your heart. Once there, God will make it grow into great fruit throughout your life; however, you’re individually responsible to plant Scripture there first, so God can make it grow. Don’t think you’re good at memorizing Scripture? How about starting with this one… “In you alone” (Ps 33:22b). That’s a good place to start, don’t you think?
