Today’s Scripture
“Then the king appointed Daniel to a high position and… made Daniel ruler over the whole province of Babylon, as well as, chief over all his wise men” (Daniel 2:48).
We can’t always make sense of our dreams, can we? Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon had a dream… a most disturbing and unusual dream! And no one could tell him what it meant… except for Daniel. His dream of the statue depicted a picture of world history from 606 BC until the Second Coming and each portion of the dream represented a different world power throughout world history!
Daniel was deported from his home and from everything he knew as a young teen. A new home, a new language, a new diet and even a new name awaited him there! Often, we find ourselves in new situations and we wonder how to cope. This lesson shows us how to trust God in the newness of our circumstances and reassures us of God’s promise for Presence and preservation.
