A River of Healing

I saw a stream flowing east from beneath the door of the Temple and passing to the right of the altar on its south side… Then he said to me, ‘This river flows east through the desert into the valley of the Dead Sea'” (Ezekiel 47:1,8).

To Mind (key point):
The concluding few chapters of Ezekiel are rich in detail and imagery about Israel, the Holy City Jerusalem and a new river which will flow through it. A miracle for sure, it will extend eastward into (fresh!) waters of the Dead Sea and westward into the Mediterranean Sea.

To Bind (apply to our lives):
The new river is a visual reminder of God’s blessing that flows from Jerusalem for all peoples.

This was incredible reading today. I got so excited about the millennial period. I believe that with such detailed description, it will indeed happen exactly as described. How I wish I could be a part of this period of peace at that time. Thank you Shannon!

Wow…wow…wow! What a glorious day that will be! I can’t imagine how all the people will fit in, but that’s not my problem, is it?

I love learning more and more of the days ahead, when Jesus will reign and we’ll be surrounded by peace rather than conflict. Praise Him that He allows us all to inherit that right and blessing, if we only will accept it.

    Praise Him!
