Today’s Scripture:November 1
“He prayed more fervently and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood” (John 14:27).

In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prays an agonizing prayer to God to be delivered from the trial that awaits him, but with a significant caveat that God’s will be done above all.

In these short moments of this one day, we can come to understand very significant and profound truths about how to live a life that is pleasing to God. When we pray, our fist concern in our prayers should be that the Father’s will be done. Ask for what you want, but always with the caveat “Thy will be done.”
