Today’s Scripture
“But I will give repeated thanks to the Lord, praising him to everyone” (Psalm 109.30).
The apostle Peter tells us in Acts chapter 1 that the Scriptures had to be fulfilled concerning Judas, who guided those who arrested Jesus (Acts 1:16). In our reading today, Psalm 109 foretells this act and mentions in detail the fate that awaited Judas because of his denial and treachery against Jesus.
It is in this glorious Messianic Psalm we read more about our beloved Jesus and his internal mutterings as he was taken, charged and crucified. Through it all, Jesus is resolved to praise God always (Ps 109:30-31). Can we say we are resolved to say the same?
