“They left Almon-diblathaim and camped in the mountains east of the river near Mount Nebo” (Numbers 33:47).

At the Lord’s direction, Moses climbed to the top of Pisgah Peak, also known as Mount Nebo. This is where God showed him all the land (a future promise) He would give to the people of Israel. The Lord also warned Moses to tell the people that when they enter the land, they must drive out the people and tear down all the “high places.”

 
What are the “high places” in your life? Is it a mountain where you stand firm in faith in the future promises of God, or is it a man-made “high place” where others things are put before the One True God?
